Information
Red Stick Charity provides Christian Based Charity and Counseling Ministry to Families in crisis with Divorce or troubled teens and others facing crisis situations that benefit from Charity, Fellowship and Casual Mentoring through activities. We follow and expand on the 12 Step system found in the AA literature and practice.
Red Stick Charity is a Christian Church Ministry located in Baton Rouge, La. Red Stick Charity was founded to help Christians through any perceived crisis with Faith Based Counseling and to assist others with minister ordination to spread the gospel and facilitate performance of religious duties. We believe that the Lord inspires us all from within and that God did not prescribe any schooling or course of study to be a requirement to preach and pastor.
If the Lord has spoken to you and it is your calling to preach, do a prison ministry, or just marry a friend or family member then it is our mission to assist you to achieve your calling.

Statement of Faith
The Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice.
There is one God, eternal and self-existing in three persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) who are to be equally loved, honored and adored.
All humanity participated in Adam’s fall from his original sinless state and is thus lost in sin and totally helpless.
The Sovereign God, for no other reason than His own unfathomable love and mercy, has chosen lost sinners from every nation to be redeemed by the quickening power of the Holy Spirit and through the atoning death and resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ.
Those sinners whom the Spirit quickens, come to believe in Christ as Savior by the Word of God, are born again, become sons of God, and will persevere to the end.
Justification is by faith and through it the undeserving sinner is clothed with the righteousness of Christ.
The goal of God’s salvation in the life of the Christian is holiness, good works and service for the glory of God.
At death the Christian’s soul passes immediately into the presence of God and the unbeliever’s soul is eternally separated from God unto condemnation.
Jesus Christ will return to earth, visibly and bodily, at a time when He is not expected, to consummate history and the eternal plan of God.
The Gospel of God’s salvation in Jesus Christ must be published to all the world as a witness before Jesus Christ returns.

Most States Require Only an Ordination and do NOT Require State Registration to officiate marriages.
Some States Require both an Ordination and also Require State Registration before officiating marriages. To register please take our ordination package to your county or city courthouse and present the documents to register as a Minister of the Gospel so that you may legally officiate marriages.

How do I become an Ordained Minister?
First, you need to register with a church either online or a more traditional method by completing an Ordination Form where you will provide a Church with some personal information and accept the Oath of Ordination. Second, you will select your desired ordination package and the complete the process. Independent Christian Legal Counsel Available.
Is an online Ordination Legal in my State?
Yes, many online Minister Ordinations are legal and valid in all 50 US States, Washington DC, Puerto Rico and US Territories by virtue of the US Interpretation of Separation of Church and State, which grants the authority to license ministers. Please check each state's rules and organizations carefully.
What do I do after I receive my Ordination Package?
Please check the Requirements in your State. Some require you to file your Ordination Documents with your county courthouse before performing weddings.
How Long Does it Take to Become Ordained?
The Traditional route may take some time, usually a formal education and acceptance and approval from a Traditional Church or Ministry. It takes about 2-3 minutes to complete an online ordination application. Then it takes about 3-5 business days to receive your credentials by mail.

Yes, Providus Counsel Institute and Ministry is a Christian non-denominational Marriage and Counseling Ministry based in Baton Rouge, La.
What are the Requirements to Become Ordained?
Most online ordinations do NOT require any formal education or training to became an ordained minister. We believe that ordination comes from divine inspiration from God and therefore we only require that you agree to our Statement of Faith and uphold our Christian Statement of Faith. The traditional method of ordination generally does require more stringent education requirements however.
